The Story of Two Wolves

An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life.

“A fight is going on inside me,” he told the young boy, “a terrible fight between two wolves. One is evil, full of anger, sorrow, regret, greed, self-pity and false pride. The other is good, full of joy, peace, love, humility, kindness and faith.”

“This same fight is going on inside of you, grandson…and inside of every other person on this earth.”

The grandson ponders this for a moment and then asks, “Grandfather, which wolf will win?”

The old man smiled and simply said,  “The one you feed.”

Powerful

To get the most success out of life have no agenda other than to give whatever you can in the present moment. A smile, a laugh, a quarter, a helping hand, an introduction or just your listening ear is more powerful than you can imagine. Beneath every gift is the knowing that the Universe is abundant and that you lose nothing by giving away what you have. Others will feel comfortable in your presence and all good things will find you - WITHOUT seeking them.

Just for today

Tonight, just for as long as you can, stop thinking about all that's upsetting you, everything that's gone wrong. Super concentrate on your happy things- people, places, things, events, memories, wishes, dreams- and feel that happiness fill up your heart. It's like taking a little "heartful vacation..

Move Toward Things That Inspire You:.

Last week, with my working collegue,  I embarked on a parasailing adventure in Batu Ferringi, Penang.  It was the most beautiful day of the year thus far and it couldn’t have been better if we planned it. In fact, the spontaneity was probably the reason it was so great. We went with the wind.

As I was up in the sky,  I constantly scanned my surroundings. When I would feel a buzz of excitement or a flash of insight rush through me as I was " flying" in the sky.

“Wow!,” I’d yell to my collegue. It was a amazing feeling, renewed.

Every place had a different vibe, a different expression. There were moments of joking around, dancing and playing. There were bouts of serenity and calm where an overwhelming peace flooded my veins.

At the end of the day I felt as if so much life had been lived. I embraced the feeling. I felt grateful. I realized the whole day was based on listening to the intuitive voice in my body. We never stopped unless we felt inspired to and because of that a day full of love as well as a work of art was created.

This is how our whole lives should be lived. Don’t do things that don’t inspire you. Listen to your body and learn to move toward the things that make it rush with positive energy. Trust in it. The outcome of an inspiration based life will be full of love and moments that leave you feeling complete.

This is certain.♥

Let it Pour...

It took me a long time to gather the courage to trust the inside voice but I’m never turning back. I know there’s no better guide than the one in my heart - it’s beyond question - it just is - I can feel it.

I sit eyes shut and listen. Sometimes I talk out loud - I ask for things. I ask to see truth - I ask for guidance. Then I just feel it all buzz inside me and I know. I know everything will happen as it should and that whatever is occurring is timely for growth. We should choose to be loving to whatever comes our way. Every experience is an opportunity. Only when I give in and release the need to control does my body settle. It gets so comfortable in the silence and the world around me becomes clearer. There is a higher definition in each crease of the bed sheet and the way my hair sweeps across my shoulder - I feel it, I really feel it.

The calm comfort in my body is love and I actually feel alive.

Yes, it is possible..

Today I woke up to one of those mornings where your head itself feels heavier than your entire body and the only place it wants to remain is mushed into the pillow. I kept telling myself 5 more minutes, 3 more minutes, just another minute…only to have fallen back asleep and to wake up 30 minutes later. I knew well at this point I would be late for work. To go or not to go, that was the question. I thought, I have only used one sick day this year and continuing to sleep is so very tempting. Also, does being overtired qualify as a sickness? Ha. After shortly mulling over my bed vs. the office I took a deep breath and choose to get up. I convinced myself, ”I am ok, I feel good, I am healthy, I can do this, I know I will feel amazing if I take charge of my day.” No I didn’t say these things out loud, but it did however give me the motivation to actually feel that way. I even decided to get on my car and  drive to work. And daebak!!!, I felt amazing. Who knows what I could be capable of today!

I believe that you yourself can be your own motivator. Yes, it’s always nice to have someone put a fire under your tush, but you can be just as effective! First you’ve got to want it and believe that you can. Then when you find yourself thinking you want to skip your gym day or slack on your work, you can search for that little voice to give yourself a pep talk in your head. Yes, it’s there! Find the mini motivator in your mind and let it push you forward, put your foot down and squash any negative thoughts. I have realized that it feels really good to know that you have helped yourself. Self-motivation equals self-satisfaction.

If you want to accomplish anything in life, you can’t just sit back and hope it will happen. You’ve got to make it happen. ♥

Go Now and Live

By: Jeanette LeBlanc

Experience. Dream. Risk.

Close your eyes and jump.Enjoy the freefall. Choose exhilaration over comfort.
Choose magic over predictability. Choose potential over safety. Wake up to the magic of everyday life. Make friends with your intuition.

Trust your gut. Discover the beauty of uncertainty. Know yourself fully before you make promises to another. Make millions of mistakes so that you will know how to choose what you really need. Know when to hold on and when to let go.

Love hard and often and without reservation. Seek knowledge. Open yourself to possibility. Keep your heart open, your head high and your spirit free.

Embrace your darkness along with your light. Be wrong every once in a while, and don’t be afraid to admit it.

Awaken to the brilliance in ordinary moments. Tell the truth about yourself no matter what the cost.
Own your reality without apology.See goodness in the world. Be bold. Be fierce. Be grateful. Be wild, crazy and gloriously free. Be you.

Go now, and live.

Remember Who You Are

It’s time you remembered who you really are.

You are not your wallet, your job, your kids, your house. You are not your activities or your worries or the labels other people give you.

Like an actor you play these roles, and like a good actor you sometimes forget who you really are.

Time to wake up now, and remember that you are a being of immense power and breathtaking beauty created in the image of God.

You are a Masterpiece

masterleaf.jpg

A plum once said, just because a banana lover came by, I converted myself into a banana. Unfortunately, his taste changed after a few months and so I became an orange. When he said I was bitter I became an apple, but he went in search of grapes. Yielding to the opinions of so many people, I have changed so many times that I no more know who I am. How I wish I had remained a plum and waited for a plum lover.

Just because a group of people do not accept you as you are, there is no necessity for you to strip yourself of your originality. You need to think good of yourself, for the world takes you at your own estimate. Never stop down in order to gain recognition. Never let go of your true self to win a relationship. In the long run, you will regret that you traded your greatest glory - your uniqueness, for momentary validation. Even Gandhi was not accepted by many people. The group that does not accept you the way you are, is not your world.

There is a world for each one of you, where you shall reign as king / queen by just being yourself. Find that world… in fact, that world will find you.

What water can do, gasoline cannot and what copper can, gold cannot. The fragility of the ant enables it to move and the rigidity of the tree enables it to stay rooted. Everything and everybody has been designed with a proportion of uniqueness to serve a purpose that we can fulfill only by being our unique self. You as you alone can serve your purpose and I as I alone can serve my purpose. You are here to be you… just you.

There was a time in this world when a Krishna was required and he was sent; a time when a Christ was required and he was sent; a time when a Mahatma was required and he was sent; There came a time when you were required on this planet and hence you were sent. Let us be the best we can be. Don’t miss yourself and let the world not miss you.

In the history of the universe, there has been nobody like you and to the infinite of time to come, there will be no one like you. Existence should have loved you so much that it broke the mould after making you, so that another of your kind will never get repeated. You are original. You are rare. You are unique. You are a wonder. You are a masterpiece… your Master’s piece.

Celebrate your Uniqueness.

My Attitude ->My Life -> My Rules

"If you're brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello." - Paulo Coehlo

One of the biggest nuggets of wisdom that we have to learn to live a productive life is that saying goodbye is sometimes what we need so that we can say hello to opportunities in life that we otherwise would have missed. Sometimes we have to let go of people that are in our lives, and don't really make us happy.

Sometimes we have to say goodbye to jobs that we know are obstructing us from seeing the life we really want to live become a reality. Sometimes we have to pick better foods that give us better nutrition and health so that we can support ourselves better than the traditional foods we eat on a daily basis. It takes being brave and embracing change in your, to bring the growth and success that you desire from the bottom of your heart. Be brave in your pursuits, all of them, even the exits.

Yeah..it happens

Sometimes, I have these wtf-am-I-doing moments, about life and the way things are.I suppose we all do.

The thing is, I don't know why I should bother, given I have never really known. My wants have always been specific, short term and greedy. Some highs have been really high, some losses - well, I am still recovering from at least one of them.

What I feel smug about though, are experiences. Make that Experiences.

I don't even care where these stack up against even my own standards (sometimes I irritate myself by being extremely straightlaced) because these are the only things I really have. The only things I have earned: each mistake, each false step, each time I did something right.

And that's what I'll treasure. All the ups and downs and dramas and meltdowns. The things I still can't quite believe happened!  Here's hoping the rollercoaster never ends.

When things dont make sense

Have you ever felt like nothing makes sense?

Are there days that seem to have 'impossible to decipher' conditions regarding every situation or news story...and things are never quite clear? When it seems that life is moving too quickly, and that all sense of right & wrong is muddled, I remember this quote.

I feel aligned with the part of me that just "knows" what to do. ♥ What helps YOU stay on course?
